2007 04 24 : music. to travel to.

By posting this Modest Mouse song i want to make one thing clear.

I'm not a fan of the new album. Harmonizing and catchy hooks were always a part of Mo mo's deal. The new album is the next level though. Gone is the experimentation, gone is the adventure, gone are the lyrics which make me wonder. If you compare an old Mo mo album to the new shit it's so different. I'm not saying that bands shouldn't change, but... not like this. Their single 'Dashboard' makes me want to puke.

I find this song fitting when i'm on the road though. It reminds me of Dramamine in a weird way.

2007 04 23 : the last 72 hours

In the last 72 hours:

-fabian broke his ankle overshooting a park jump
-we went to the hospital and thankfully he didn't need surgery

-the next day we went snowmobiling
-we built one of the best jumps of the season
-we headed home under a blanket of snow and wind, anticipating the sun of the following day
-the forest rangers were waiting for us
-we were in a 'closed area'
-we pay $175 each

-we didn't go back to the jump from fear of more park rangers and larger consequences
-we missed the jump, it was sunny today
-it got warm
-there is no more powder
-we went snowmobiling at another spot
-i almost sunk my sled in a lake and then i almost sunk in the lake
-we got it out.
-we threw snowballs at a stream
-we didn't find anything to do
-went home and watched American Gladiators
-i want to hit a step up.

2007 04 22 : Warm

posted by Anthony Boronowski
It snowed last night. We woke up to this.

I hope it keeps snowing, but it's supposed to get warm. Well, it's already warm. I'm watching the snow melting off the roof and streaming onto the ground, making big puddles and slush pools. I guess it is the end of April. It will be crazy if we drove all this way for it to get warm. I'm getting the sinking feeling that this is the case.

Elina and I want to go to Death Valley and San Francisco. That might be fun, and funny.
