2007 08 27 : biking for coffee

posted by Anthony Boronowski
That's it that's all. Back at the computer designing.
this is a post about nothing. before you read any further know that.
well, maybe it's not about nothing. I've been doing graphic design stuff for Joystick the last couple days. Meaning I sit infront of my computer most of the day. As a result, I don't have much to post on here.
when i was in Chile i tweaked my knee (not bad, but still not good). My physio told me to ride my bike. I like riding bikes so this is a post about riding bikes. This is my door.
this is the bike room in my building. i'm not the only one who's into riding. but they're mostly mtn bikes and cruisers...
this is my bike. nothing fancy, but it does the job. and if your bike is too nice in van, it'll just get stolen.
outside of my home. yep.
There's construction everywhere in Vancouver. Makes for interesting biking. Trucks, cracks, cones, gravel, tight spaces...
Sorry about these next photos being blurry. I shot them from my bike and wanted to give a little perspective of views from my bike.
Mobile crane things.
Cement. Everywhere.
Artigiano, great coffe, destination for a bike ride and motivation to get up early.
Bascofiver: [ 2007-08-28 ]Like the post, reminds me of home, and coming over to your place for a tea. It's strange I think because I biked and skateboarding in the crazy traffic of vancouver I now am a better biker here in Copenhagen, I have little fear of cars (still respect them though) and seem to have a quick reflexes when I have to sudden brake or switch directions. Thanks Vancouver:)
ant: [ 2007-08-28 ]NILS! yeah buddy. dvd's coming soon i promise. i wanna come ride bikes with you in Copenhage...
jamie: [ 2007-09-01 ]Nice photos, look forward to the blog this coming winter, and the new joystick stuff.

2007 08 21 : Chile 2

Special thanks go out to Carlos, Ricardo and everyone at WetFly for the trip. And Ismael for guiding us while we were there.
I just got home from a week in Chile. I went down for an event that Armada Chile put on. This is the view when I arrived crusing through Santiago.
out the window in Santiago
This is WetFly. It's the shop that Carlos runs, Carlos is the man who set up our trip and took care of us...
'GOTS TO KEEPS IT GANGSTA'

Bang bang like T.I. Phil 'Notorious' Casabon
Chile is the largest per capita consumer of Coca Cola in the world. That's a 3 Litre bottle of Coke. Bang.
Sunset.
On the way from Santiago to the hill, there's a spot where you can stop and these guys will put your chains on for you. They'll also rent you chains. They also live there. Weird. We heard they're like Ewoks. I'm not suprised.
This was the view off our deck. Nice to wake up to.
ski'n down the road in chile. we'd do laps off the back of the resort to this road.
We waited for rides at the bottom of the run... casual like the Seattle Mariners and the Boston Celtics. You can see some of the terrain in the back.
WiFi at the hill. It's casual. Like Daft Punk.
Full effect. They're not doing email, no daft punk.
Obligatory party shot. L ->R. Me, Carlos (head chopper), Alex Casabon, Ismaella, Ricardo, Phil Casabon
