"Marisa Abaza is a Brooklyn based photographer. She has started shooting New York City cyclists and then having them write(in their own handwriting) a small story, idea or feeling about themselves and bikes onto a small peice of paper placed next to the actual photo."
I came across this project. It gives a cool feeling. I like. Thought I would share. I'm going riding now...

Everyone knows that print media is dying. This industry is going to have to do something, and do something quickly, to right the rising tide of the changes in the way people currently view/interact with media.
This project made me inspiried in the ability of the print industry to change. Check it out:

An intelligent, consistently updated, free online journal. Worth a read, and a bit of time. It's not an instant gratification type thing, but time put in will be returned tenfold. Thanks for the link Sara.

Mike Skinner's one of my favorite storytellers. A modern day oral historian if you will...
He just put out a new album called 'Everything Is Borrowed'. His latest stuff isn't at the top of my list, but I always appreciate his perspective and his ability to create personal reflection. I must admit I miss the less hooky chorus based stuff of his previous albums. This album feels a lot more peaceful, quite fitting for these days of worldwide turmoil. Regardless, it's always great to hear new stuff from Skinner.
Two tracks off the new album and two great old ones.
And on a final note, take a minute today to appreciate those who came before us.

I've been thinking about the depression of the 30's, and if we're about to go into the same situation. I came across this old radio recording and found it really interesting. Give it a listen. Some perspective in there. Old voices recalling times long ago. It's a bit long but worth it...
